Happy National Day!

Happy National Day! Y
I am watching the NDP live-telecast on TV and I saw Joel! Finally?

Yesterday, Atiqa gave me my late late birthday card, I kind of asked for it but anyway, hahaha. 'late, late' is like, I am dead already. Had National Day celebrations in school, our class was standing somewhere above the platform, so all the while we could only see the performers' back views and stuff, it would have been a little better if it was the wet-weather plan. Half the time we just sat down against the wall and took pictures and videos of piggies, they're so cute! Thanks, Jia Wen, for the pig! She tied ribbons on them personally and wrote notes for us!

Piggy loves Singapore, me too! That's Penelope's hand and her Pink Pig. Are you made in Singapore? I am!

Pigbob Squarepants, Penelope later called it Pigbob Roundpants and I thought it made more sense than mine.

Chromosome! Or whatever, two sister chromatids! Biology is pretty cool.

So cute!

Then after National Day celebrations, Elyssa, Jia Wen, Penelope, Wan Ting, Yi-Lin and I were debating on whether to go to Shaw House or Plaza Singapura or Far East for lunch. In the end we decided to go to Shaw House for McDonalds. We boarded the 105 bus. Wan Ting ate the I Y Singapore sweet, hahaha. And she looked really desperate for water, hahaha. Yi-Lin, you didn't warn her ah! Okay, we missed the stop we're supposed to get down, therefore Elyssa came to a conclusion that Jia Wen cannot be trusted (she suggested we go Shaw House!). There were too many people in the bus that Jia Wen couldn't see the stop is it, hahaha. Ended up sitting all the way to Singapore Polytechnic, which is, in Commonwealth or something. We spotted McDonalds! In the bus we were like, we'll stop wherever there is McDonalds. It was in the polytechnic so we were unsure of whether we could go in. The rest wanted to back out 'cause it was, outdoors. Brave Jia Wen and I went to check if there was an air-conditioned area. There wasn't, there was only a two counters for you to order food, so we wanted to pack and run but somehow we just sat down and ate there. It was damn cheap! $3.90 for my McMuffin set! Hurray! Jia Wen and Elyssa got chicken rice for, $1.50 per plate, which is also damn cheap oh my gawd it rocks to be in poly but yeah, the place is filled with ahbeng- and ahlian-looking people. Kind of intimidating. After lunch, we walked to the opposite bus stop to take the bus back to Orchard or something. There's this underground tunnel for us to walk, ah so cool. And then Wan Ting and Yi-Lin even wanted to take a picture at Singapore Polytechnic like it was some kind of place of attraction!

So Penelope took a different bus from us 'cause she needed to go home and pack her stuff 'cause she's moving house. She couldn't join us even later in the day 'cause she still couldn't finish packing :( Yeah, so Elyssa, Jia Wen, Wan Ting and Yi-Lin sat in the second floor of the double decker bus, the first few seats. It was such an exciting trip on the bus. Er, Riding the Bus with my Friends? Hahaha, whatever that Riding the Bus with my Sister book is called. It was a long but interesting ride 'cause we came really close to buses in front of us and stuff. We saw this road called Kay Poh road, hahaha so cute.

We saw this really distorted flag, damn ugly okay. It's like, they get this really long red and white cloth, and they cut the moon and stars of a normal sized flag (2 x 3m according to Elyssa) and sewed it on the cloth. Eeeek, it's damn ugly! How disrespectful to our Singapore.

Wan Ting & Yi-Lin and Elyssa, Jia Wen and I separated 'cause they wanted to go get exchange presents or something, hahaha. They would join us later. So Elyssa, Jia Wen and I went home without them. Bought butter and started baking first. Baked lots of cookies, different shapes and sizes and flavours! We made a damn big face for my sister but she dropped it after eating part of it so the rest of the big cookie went to waste. We also made letters like, Y I L I N and P E N N Y with hearts. Wan Ting made this photo frame with an adult and a kid in it but somehow after baking they both became the same size, hahaha. In the end we got tired of moulding cookies so we just spread the dough on the whole tray and cut it into rectangles, hahaha. Chocolate cookies do not taste as good as butter cookies. And marshmallow cookies are no-nos.

Famous Amos, make way!

When they left one by one, I was the slave and had to clean up the mess they made! I'm a, slave for you (sings to the tune of the song by Britney Spears)! Okay, Elyssa and Jia Wen, happily making their own fondue, dirtied my stove okay. And the fondue wasn't really fondue, it didn't harden and all, hahaha. We'll go and eat the real thing someday okay.

I cleaned up the kitchen till I was really tired, bathed and went to sleep, hahaha.
I've got lots of cookies. The cost for our baking is only 35 bucks, seven bucks each is pretty cheap. But, no more baking for me, at least no more baking in my house! The whole place was damn oily, kind Mommy helped me mop the floor, love you Mommy! :)
